Pancakes via: Apples for Jam
Let's be honest, I would have bought this book for the cover alone. I finally got a copy of Apples for Jam: A colorful cookbook, by Tessa Kiros and it is absolutely beautiful (and lovely, and thoughtful, and nostalgic.) Tessa's stories are simple and true to life in a way that had my own childhood food memories stirring around in my head. The chapters are cleverly divided by colors (or stripes) and the photos are delicious.Tessa's book came just in time for a pancake craving to hit. I followed her recipe, and although my pancakes were tiny, they were delicious. I added a little sugar and fresh lemon.
