Love you, deer *
4 weeks and 2 days later after I've moved to Brooklyn I have had three interviews, 8 meals from Taj Mahal, 4 days of dog walking, one flaming lips concert, 11lbs lighter, became a registered New York voter, a member of the Brooklyn public library, read many free publications, used one unlimited monthly metro card, saw one Coney island freak show, three trips to the movies, one Scumbo show, sewed one messenger bag, got 6 knives for free, painted one picture, bought groceries off of the internet twice, watched two hours of tv, watched many Netflix dvds and received 5 hand written letters.

At first I wanted to sub-title my blog, “my unconventional guide to life”. I’m not sure exactly what this will evolve into. I’ve written many online diary entries in the past five years and would like to head in a more interesting direction. A direction that includes: art projects (and ideas), things that I find humorous, interviews with people that inspire me, exploring design, and documenting many adventures I plan on taking.

I hope you will join me!
love, Lorrie

*love you deer is a title that I came up with one night while spending time with friends.

Hello,

Followed your link from Craftster thinking that maybe we could exchange links. My blog isn't quite ready for public consumption yet, but I had a good giggle when I saw this post. We both named our first post the same - too fun.

I also have another site where I would be glad to put a link to your blog. It's http://www.CraftyTips.com

Best wishes with your blog and I would love to see a more detailed entry on using MySpace to promote a crafty business. I've seen people mention it, but haven't the first clue about doing it.

Michele

ps. I wish you well with your job search - believe me been there done that. It was hard to keep a straight face and not say a few choice words when one interviewer essentually told me that I was both over and under qualified for the same position. Hopefully, something will evolve from the temping, many companies are only hiring by trying first.
